Colleen was introduced to yoga through an Asian philosophy course in college which was by far her favorite course. Shortly after learning about the philosophy, Colleen took her first yoga class and was hooked. Fast forward a decade or so, Colleen received her yoga teacher certification after going through an intensive year long yoga teacher training program at Moksha Yoga in Chicago.
Colleen carefully crafts her classes to allow the student to have the best chance of entering the flow state. Colleen focuses heavily on the breath as she finds pranayama, or breath control, to be equally important to the physical asana aspect of yoga. She also finds meditation to be a powerful tool and flow state trigger. Colleen's goal is to create a rhythmic and challenging practice which gives each student space to find awareness, opening, and... you guessed it, the flow state.
